Our History
Watanabe’s development history began in 1970 in Castro-Pr, Brazil, when founder Mr. Hitoshi Watanabe started as an authorized Hatsuta sprayer dealer. By engaging closely with farmers, he developed the first two-line Potato Picker. In 1976, due to its success, the company established a factory focused on potato agricultural implements. After his passing in 1983, his family continued the business. Renamed Watanabe Máquinas Agrícolas Indústria e Comércio Ltda. in 1984, it expanded into cotton, sugarcane, forestry, soil cleaning, and material handling. In 2009, it became Watanabe Industry and Machine Trade Ltd., strengthening multi-sector operations. Today, our Netherlands branch extends this legacy to Europe with high-performance machinery solutions.
